At Paso Robles Physical Therapy (PRPT) we have been using the ATM2 for the last year and a half. It has been a great addition to our clinic, especially in the area of low back and hip movement dysfunctions. There have been multiple times when we have been able to immediately improve a persons active range of motion for the trunk and hip much to the surprise and joy of our patients. One particular patient comes to mind. Judy has been struggling with recurrent low back pain for years with specific limitation of forward bending. In her first visit here she was measured at 23 degrees (normal being 60) and after 2 sessions was remeasured at 37 degrees with marked decrease in pain during forward bending. She noted a marked improvement in back pain in her functional activities as a teacher as well.
Another patient was struggling with a painful hip flexor muscle strain. After soft tissue mobilization and use of the ATM2 for appropriate stabilization of the pelvis so that stretching could occur at the target muscle there was marked decrease in pain and increase in function. The ATM2 is very user friendly and what patients seem to enjoy particularly is the ability to have control in the treatment session.
We are overall very happy with the ATM2 and will continue to use it for a variety of movement dysfunctions to gain pain free mobility.
