Thanks for asking about how the ATM2 has affected my practice and my patients. First let me start by saying it works. As you know I expressed open skepticism to you regarding the use of the device in the fashion that you described and achieving the outcomes you reported. I have been pleasantly surprised that everything that you reported to me is true. I have taken cases that we perceived as very challenging and helped them greatly.
I have used the system effectively with back patients of course but I’ve also used it with shoulder and knee cases. One patient a middle aged female athlete had months of hip and knee pain that we successfully treated with the ATM2. She would come across town for intermittent sessions that kept her on the tennis court and swimming. She was very skeptical but has become a believer. Another patient referred to us by the Veterains administration had 15 years of back pain. One of my therapists used the ATM2 program with her. Her symptoms abated and she is so pleased she is going to be added to our web site as a testimonial.
The ATM2 has become our first line of defense for back pain and it is quickly moving into other areas of care in our facility. I plan to add a second unit in the very near future.
Thanks Steve and congratulations on the upcoming article in Golf Week. We are thrilled to be a part of the program. We are committed to helping golfers manage their own back pain be it within or outside of the health care system. We have yet to use this as a part of our fitness programs however this may provide an excellent launching pad.
